The VOTE YES Campaign is a grass-roots marketing promotion that Alex and Carey started when plans for the redevelopment of the Nassau Coliseum site were released. The Facebook page currently has over 2,400 likes and the Twitter page has approximately 600 followers. Our goal is to campaign Nassau County residents to pass the August 1 referendum, which would give Nassau County and Charles Wang permission to borrow up to $400 million in bonds to build a new arena for the New York Islanders to play in as well as a minor league ballpark. This is a critical topic for all Nassau County residents so following these pages is essential for updates on the process for not just Islander fans, but Nassau County residents in general.
