AT: As just a 17 year old (and a young kid in this draft), Siemens has the room the grow. Even if he were to stay put height wise, he still stands as a very intimidating D-man. With Scott Stevens as his idol growing up, Siemens seems to have taken his mold. He's a great, puck moving D-man with a body that he does not relent in throwing around. He is a wholesome D-man who a lot of teams will be drooling over. At such a young age, it could be 2 years or so before he sees the NHL. While he certainly has the body of a rookie D in the NHL, he might want to sharpen up some of his skills back in the WHL.
Siemens is certainly intriguing. A strong D-man who shows extreme capability on both sides of the puck may just be the kind of player the Isles may need. Just.. not at 5. If the Isles trade down for some reason, I'd be all for him at an area around 10-12.
CH: I agree with Alex that if the Islanders decide to trade down, this could be the guy they target. I don't think he's ready for the NHL, but he has the size and skill to be a quality top 4 guy for years to come. As far as the Islanders, it depends where they rank him. If he is ranked above Dougie Hamilton and Ryan Murphy, he could be their guy.
Like Joel Armia, this is another player who I could envision in the top 10. Realistically, he is most likely to go between 8-12, but there is certainly a possibility a team falls in love with him and takes him higher. It's also possible he slips a little bit. It's just another example of how much of a crapshoot this draft is. Either way, Siemens is a very solid prospect and the team that drafts him will be very happy.
Most likely to be drafted: 8-12
