CH: Armia had an outstanding rookie season in the Finnish mens league, finishing with 29 points in 48 games as an 17-18 year old. He is outstanding size (6'3") and skill, which teams will love about him. What hurts Armia's case was that his performance in the World Juniors was not up to par. While he was only 17 at the time of the tournament, he needs to have more than 1 point in his draft year. That doesn't mean he has to have a Nino Niederreiter type WJC, but a productive one nonetheless.
Over the course of the season, Armia's ranking has pretty much stayed stagnant. He finishes ranked 13 on the ISS ranking and in the top 5 for European skaters on CSB. A team drafting in the early teens will absolutely take a chance on him, and it would not surprise me if he slipped into the top 10. Given the unpredictability of any draft, especially such a wide open one, a good interview along with his size and skill may get him there. While he does seem to be a bit of a project, there is no doubt he can be a productive NHL player of the course of his career.
AT: Not everyone's going to have a great WJC. It'll drop his stock as it has, but I don't think it necessarily dictates his play on ice. He's a big, physical forward that a lot of teams look for from 10-20. He will find his place in the NHL. I'm sure of it. I just don't see it being on the Islanders.
Most likely to be drafted: 8-15
