Former Islanders: Kings Sign F Trent Hunter

According to Pierre LeBrun, Trent Hunter has made the Kings roster, signing a one-year, $600K deal earlier today. Hunter was on a training camp tryout after scoring 4 points in just 17 games with the Islanders last season.

CH: This is a good move for Los Angeles' fourth line. Hunter is a banger who is a proven 20 goal scorer. Obviously, his injuries have derailed his career, but if he stays healthy, there's no reason to think that Hunter can't put ten goals in. The Kings are an up-and-coming team, and picking up a veteran like Hunter could be extremely beneficial for them. Best of luck to Trent, who was always a solid citizen during the course of his nine year Islander career.
